- Must be at least 14 years old (participants under 18 require signed enrolment from parent/guardian)
- Have a valid USI (Unique Student Identifier) for certification issuance
- No prerequisites - suitable for first-timers and refreshers
Physical Requirements:
- Physically capable of performing 2 minutes uninterrupted CPR on adult manikin on the floor
- Physically capable of performing 2 minutes uninterrupted CPR on infant manikin
- Demonstrate use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Perform childcare-specific first aid techniques including management of choking infants
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements:
- Complete online learning modules independently
- Understand childcare-specific emergency procedures
- Complete incident reports accurately for education settings
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and emergency services
- Count to 30 and follow CPR procedures
